Job Description

Intrado’s Life & Safety group is hiring a Application System Administrator to join our technology team! Intrado’s Life & Safety division is responsible for some critical parts of our everyday life. Our solutions are responsible for everything that happens after a 9-1-1 call is placed – call routing, delivery, location determination and data management. Whether you call from a landline, cell phone or text 9-1-1, we make sure first responders get the right information at the right time so they can save lives.MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide technical stewardship for a Public Safety Enterprise Solution Application used to route 911 calls and locate users
  • Support Production disruptions and work across multiple teams to create documentation and take proactive measurements to prevent further problems
  • Provide technological knowledge and participate in group decision-making on technology related topics
  • Assist in evaluating new requirements and work closely with development team to assess the needs and ensure the solution and platform are designed to be optimum
  • Create and maintain internal documentation on properly deploying and managing our solutions and platforms
  • Work closely with developers and other team to help monitor and remediate infrastructure performance and security issues
Education:
  • University degree from an accredited institution with major course work in computer/IT/Network/ sciences.
  • Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in System Engineer, System Administration or related field required
  • Minimum two years experience in a similar position
Technical:
  • Call flows for VoIP using SIP protocol
  • Red Hat Unix Administration
  • Understanding of managing Applications on AWS instances
  • Windows Administration and Domain Controllers (Active Driectory)
  • SOAP/XML API Provisioning flows
  • Back end Applications running on Prem Glass Fish Middleware or équivalent
  • Web Portal Applications running on AWS
  • F5 configuraiton and iRules
  • Web Proxy Configuration
  • Network troubleshooting and Wireshark Packet captures
  • Basic MS SQL database knowledge
  • SSL Authentication and Certs TLS 1.x
  • Syslog Configuration
  • Bash scripting for Monitoring and reporting (Python/PHP)
Other:
  • Proficient spoken and written in English. Excellent communication skills across multiple stakeholder levels in the company
  • Participate on a rotation of on-call personnel every 3-4 weeks (Only FTE)
