We are currently looking for a ASSISTANT CONTROLLER to join our Montreal team. To apply, please fill out the form below and send it with your resume before November 18th , 2022.Our Job OfferReporting to the controller, the Assistant controller will be mainly responsible for performing company-wide accounting-related tasks.The incumbent is expected to :
  • Prepare financial statements and ensure their accuracy (variance analysis)
  • Analyze General Ledger accounts
  • Regularly review and occasionally generate payroll
  • Generate monthly reports for the various taxes, other government remittances (DAS) and RPP
  • Track capital assets
  • Contribute to the development of accounting information systems
  • Contribute to monitoring and implementing effective internal controls
  • Generate year-end tax slips
  • Take part in budget process
  • Take care of year-end audit
  • Support the Accounting Manager with compliance matters (taxation)
  • Prepare, analyze and design reports on operational and financial measures (specific analyses)
  • Support as needed the Accounting technician in her daily work (accounts payable, deposits and bank reconciliations, etc.)
  • Perform any other related tasks as requested by the supervisor
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications :
  • University degree in accounting and CPA designation (or in the process of obtaining)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience in group insurance, an asset
  • Ability to work independently, thoroughness, discipline
  • Ability to introduce and implement improvements
  • Discipline, ability to manage multiple files concurrently, team player
  • Command of English and French, both spoken and written
