Company DescriptionPart of the great Rodeo FX family, BLVD is an innovative, award-winning sound studio, trusted partner to the worlds most celebrated businesses, agencies, artists and entertainment companies. BLVD is made up of a growing creative team of sound engineers, music composers and audio producers.Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Head of the ADS department, the role of the assistant editor is to prepare the elements for each stage of a project (offline, colo, online) to ensure that the sessions are always ready for the artists and to assist them, as needed, during the project.We are looking for someone where this is clearly not their first Rodeo! This person must be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge in the discipline of offline editing but not limited to it. The person will act as a mentor for the other editors by providing all the technical and creative support necessary for the editors and the projects entrusted to him.A true professional chameleon, this person will be able to adapt to the needs of each project as requirements change and progress. The assistant editor must demonstrate a strong desire for innovation and a passion for new technologies.More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are as follows:

  • Preparation of offline sessions;
  • Ensure the reception, import and classification of media;
  • Verification and technical validation of files;
  • Forward the projects to the sound mixing, online and colorization stage.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent command of the following tools: Avid software, FinalCut, Premiere, Resolve and/or similar software.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Flame, an asset;
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French and functional English.
