Discover how you can make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities around the world.As a Life Events representative, you will gain experience working on a diverse set of tasks that will enhance your knowledge on taxation and legislative rules. You will interact with variety of internal and external parties including GRS workgroups, Sponsors, Executors, Lawyers, trustees and Beneficiaries.The chosen candidate will analyze the requests and follow the procedures established in accordance with Life Events requests.What will you doResponsible for handling end-to-end process and interactions related to Life Events within our service standards.

  • Processing of all incoming work in the workflow systems (Ultera, DCOT, Emails, Global)
  • Analysis and handling of requests received in accordance with pre-established processes.
  • Processing of accounting and Taxation
  • Preparing and sending correspondence according to legislative rules and requirements
  • Strong critical thinking towards problem solving
  • Monitor and respond to client email communications
  • Handle incoming phone calls
  • Taking part in various team projects
  • Partner with the Specialists to ensure all issues and complaints are escalated and acted upon within 24 hours
What do you need to succeed
  • Excellent PC skills, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Accuracy and speed
  • Superior organization skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to deal with high work volumes
  • Strong team player
  • Outstanding Client focus and service
  • Strong comprehension skills; effective written and verbal communications
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to coordinate and collaborate with internal departments and external service providers
Assets:
  • Knowledge of retirement products such as DCPP, RRIF/LIF, RRSP, VRSP, LIRA etc.
  • Knowledge of Ultera, Outlook , Excel
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Group Retirement Services
The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
