Job Description

Business Intelligence Developer (IBM planning analytics) PermanentPosted 9 months agoProgression3 is in search of a Business Intelligence Developer for a permanent role with our client in Montreal.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, visualizations, etc. to drive key business decisions.
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
  • Using warehouse data to generate and deliver reports to customers to support business decision making and
  • Business performance monitoring
  • Develop complex reports, from simple lists, crosstabs and chart through complex dashboard, drill-through, master-details and conditional formatting, multipage reports including simple and cascading prompts.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on reports
  • Translating business needs into technical specifications.
  • Support of TM1/Planning Analytics on full life cycle projects
  • Conducts Planning Analytics training sessions for end-users.
  • Develop and update technical documentation
REQUIREMENTS
  • Two or more years of experience
  • Experience in development with TM1 and PAX 2.0 is an asset
  • Has a passion for data, reportingamp; analytics, and data warehousing
  • Understanding of star schema models and data warehouse theory desired
  • High comfort level working on multiple simultaneous assignments and dealing with assignment prioritization changes
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving, organizational and communication skills are required
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly to change
  • Attention to detail and maintaining high quality standards is a must
  • Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Strong interpersonal skills – must be able to work effectively as part of a project team and foster team co-operation
  • Demonstrates initiative and works independently with minimal supervision
