capital construction managerAre you looking for career opportunities within a global growing real estate companyThen you might be our next Capital Construction Manager.Join us and be a part of our journey.job descriptionAkelius is seeking a Capital Construction Manager to join the construction department.The Capital Construction Manager will manage several multi-family residential construction and renovation projects throughout the local portfolio.The successful candidate will be a team player that successfully collaborates with internal and external personnel.They will be a forward thinker with the ability to share ideas and suggestions and focus on the big picture.

  • manage multiple residential retrofit and restoration projects throughout the cities area
  • initiate projects from the concept stage, carry out feasibilities and investigations and see them through construction completion
  • review designs, specifications, and tender packages
  • advise on budget and project costs and provide recommendations to branch managers
  • monitor on-site construction and actively enforce quality and schedule with contractors
  • provide branch managers with updates on schedule, budget, and design
  • effectively communicate to property managers and property administrators about schedule updates and potential tenant disruptions
  • review completed projects and address deficiencies in a timely manner
  • other duties as assigned
who you are
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or Architectural science
  • Three-plus years of large-scale residential or commercial construction projects experience
  • clean criminal background
  • problem-solving ownership of responsibilities, able to anticipate and address issues, solutions-focused and driven
  • a team player, work as a team with internal and external personnel, forward-thinking, ability to share ideas and suggestions, focus on the big picture, and pitch-in attitude
  • time management and organization, set priorities, meet deadlines and multitask
