They must act in accordance with the Fundamental Principles and mission of the Canadian Red Cross.In this role, you will:

  • Deliver services (analyze the needs of people helped by the program, register them, etc.).
  • Facilitate access to the available services, such as lodging, food distribution, and personal services, as needed.
  • Provide recommendations to improve the services offered to people helped by the program.
  • Ensure that people helped by the program understand the terms of the temporary lodging.
  • Sign service agreements with suppliers and follow up with administration.
  • Ensure that the operation is conducted in accordance with Canadian Red Cross guidelines and standards.
  • Identify complex cases, gaps, and errors to forward them to the immediate supervisor.
  • Participate in resolving complex cases.
  • Report on the progress of cases and activities to the supervisor.
  • Keep records up to date in the database, including the forms and documents needed for analysis, and ensure that files are maintained and handled confidentially.
  • Archive files related to the operation.
  • Perform all other related duties.
What we are looking for:
  • A college diploma in a related field and two years of experience in a similar or related position.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Communication: Be clear, concise, confident, and able to influence others.
  • Teamwork: Be useful to the team, be respectful of team members, be available, and build harmonious relationships.
  • Calm in a crisis: Do not allow emotions to get in the way, remain professional and positive, and act confidently.
  • Priority management: Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, and be able to focus, listen, adapt, and meet deadlines.
Working conditions:
  • This position requires a satisfactory Canadian criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
  • You must be able to work non-traditional hours.
  • You may be required to wear personal protective equipment as part of your duties, depending on the policies and procedures in effect at the Canadian Red Cross.
