Job Description*Maternity Leave Replacement*As a Senior Buyer and Category Lead, you will be responsible for the Overhead and Workspace category within the Purchasing team, working under the direction of the Associate Director responsible for all of Ubisoft #39;s Canadian studios, including Montreal, Quebec City, Winnipeg, Toronto, Saguenay and Sherbrooke. As part of Ubisoft #39;s organizational transformation to harmonize all Canadian studios, you will play a key role by demonstrating strong leadership and exceptional autonomy. You will be responsible for developing and deploying a category strategy, vision and action plan in collaboration with other buyers in the same category.What you do:

  • Category Strategy: Design and implement a robust category strategy aligned with internal customer needs and corporate cost reduction objectives. Purchasing in this category encompasses the acquisition of goods and services necessary for the day-to-day running of a business, such as office supplies, utilities, workspace, and other expenses related to general corporate administration.
  • Supplier Management: Analyze, identify, maintain and develop relationships with key suppliers, while establishing new strategic partnerships.
  • Contract Management: Ensure strict compliance with contractual terms and conditions, with the ability to identify and address any deviations. Oversee the performance of key suppliers and ensure compliance with SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
  • Market Research: Closely monitor industry trends, technological advances and the competitive marketplace to make informed decisions and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Collaboration: Working seamlessly with various departments such as the project management office, internal customer, finance and legal departments, to ensure seamless execution of purchasing projects on the roadmap.
  • Complete management of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process: This includes presenting negotiation mandates to senior management.
  • KPI: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and success of initiatives in place.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data in order to build a solid business case, identify gaps and exploit opportunities.
