We dedicate ourselves daily to be the most customer centric, reliable, and resourceful logistics and supply chain provider, engaged in providing customizable logistics solutions in order to help our customers get their goods to market rapidly and, in a cost, effective manner.Job DescriptionThe primary function of this role is to provide operational support and technical customs guidance to MEDLOG/APCB Customs customers and the Canadian organization in a professional and timely manner ensuring outstanding client services are provided. Primary job duties and responsibilities are as follows: Classify import items and notify Customs to determine appropriate import duties/taxes.Receive, review, and process import transactions of all modes, including LVS and the classification and valuation of goods.Process documents through the Company’s system, obtaining Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate.Review and monitor all Customs rejections, requests for information for clients and any other government agency, and other correspondence.Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations. Assisting with customs technical and operational inquiries from clients, team members, and other departments.Coordinating activities, operational, rating and technical, to ensure that shipments are classified and rated properly, and cleared in a timely manner.Handling all B2amp; K32 processing and presenting to Customs in a timely manner.Updating client customs profiles when changes are made by way of audits, DAS, or other means, Management of all Free Trade certificates and ensuring clients are aware of their liabilities / responsibilities to provide properly completed certificates.Gain full knowledge of our DESCARTES system, both operationalamp; computer, so that guidance can be provided when required by raters and operational staff. Database management which includes answering exceptions and researching information for (HS Tariff, CUSMA, SIMA, etc.).Maintain and update client notes on research done for various import activities, assigned to handle and be the main point of contact for a group of clients based on complexity.Monitoring entries for status for CADEX and ensuring entries are confirmed within the prescribed time frame.Troubleshooting rejects on customs entries, Daily communicating verbally or written with various trade chain partners.
