Job Summary: The Data Architect will work closely with the development team and other stakeholders, focusing on the database layer of our applications. This role requires a deep understanding of security-focused database solutions, as well as strong technical and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop database solutions for secure portal applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
Collaborate with remote and on-site teams to define, develop, and implement customer-driven solutions.
Perform testing, debugging, and installation of database systems to ensure operating efficiency.
Conduct assessments of defects, new enhancements, and initiatives.
Provide operational support and incident/change management, including defect remediation and enhancements.
Maintain detailed documentation for system development and revisions.
Ensure seamless integration with infrastructure, network, and database components.
Support the configuration, patching, and maintenance of secure database systems.
Apply best practices in quality standards, fostering a culture of â€œenhanced security solutions.â€

Requirements

Government of Canada Secret Level clearance is required
Proficiency with Oracle 11g and 19c databases.
Hands-on experience with PL/SQL and ANSI SQL.
Experience with database tools like Toad.
Familiarity with DevOps/CICD pipelines and tools such as JIRA, Github, Jenkins, and UCD.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities.
Proven problem-solving abilities with complex, technical, and abstract concepts.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment (3 days on-site, 2 days remote).
Strong team player with the confidence to escalate issues when necessary.
