Job Description

Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.Description:We are looking for an experienced and passionate Digital Quality Assurance Analyst to play a critical role in testing a large portfolio of Air Canada digital content projects, supporting various marketing and eCommerce initiatives of mixed nature, always ensuring delivery of the utmost quality.This position requires an individual with excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills, a critical eye, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects within tight deadlines and in a dynamic and fast-paced global environment.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and primary point of contact for all QA responsibilities related to all digital content projects
  • Review project documentation including project brief, business and technical requirements design/mock-ups and content
  • Define acceptance criteria and produce test plans
  • Provide updates on testing progress and related activities to the Project Manager and related teams
  • Analyse, raise, and track defects found in testing and work to resolve these with the relevant teams, e.g., other testers, Product Owners/Managers, Developers or 3rd parties
  • Work closely with other functions within the digital team such as design, user experience, copywriters, developers, as well as outside teams as Marketing and Marketing Operations
  • Manage, write, and execute test scripts and any functional, UAT, and/or regression testing
  • Conduct accessibility and usability testing
  • Ensure accurate rendering across browsers and devices
  • Support cross-departmental projects and overall test community within the business when required
  • Continuously research on industry benchmarks, ideas and innovations and identify opportunities to improve processes and quality
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree a must, with strong understanding of functional testing, business analytics, and defect tracking, and min. 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance lead or similar role within a digital environment
  • Quality Assurance experience in eCommerce, digital or retail environments
  • ISEB / ISTQB certified
  • An in-depth knowledge of the full testing life cycle processes and terminologies
  • Possess strong investigative and analytical skills
  • Excellent experience on risk based testing and exploratory testing
  • UAT and front-end testing experience with particular focus on look and feel
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools, e.g., NVDA, JAWS, AQA, Achecker, Color contrast analyzer, etc.
  • An ability to prepare and maintain up-to-date quality assurance plans and defect tracking logs
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management
  • Ability and flexibility to easily switch between multiple projects, audiences, channels, scopes, and shifting priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in cross-functional teams both within the organization and across 3rd party vendors
  • Familiar with digital design, content production, and web development processes
  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Defect Tracking Software, e.g., Jira
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery team environment an asset
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and comfort in taking on challenges
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and under very tight deadlines
