Job Description

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Translating and localizing product descriptions for all new products into French (for the French Canadian market).
  • Ensuring JD Sports’ brand voice remains consistent and authentic, when presented to French-speaking customers.
  • Writing French copy for multiple areas across the storefront including banners, FAQs and policy pages.
  • Working with the Marketing department to complete various French copywriting assignments such as blog and social media posts.
  • Ensuring French site copy complies with SEO strategy and advising on French-specific opportunities to improve SEO.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
  • Strong/proven French writing skills
  • Knowledge of apparel business (particularly multi-brand retail) and a love of fashion
  • Tech-savvy and proficient in social media apps, Google Docs, Google Sheets
  • Open and receptive to constructive feedback
  • Strong time management and organizational skills in order to meet tight deadlines for product/campaign launches
  • Ability to work and adapt in fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail
