Immigration AdvisormontrealMontreal, Quebec, CanadaPlease note that this is a hybrid position. Thats why, we continue to follow the Public Health Agency of Canada’s recommendations closely.We remain close to you, while keeping our distance via Phone, Microsoft Teams, Zoom or however you like.Take your ambitions to the next levelProvide guidance and advice to the Human Capital team on work permit renewals, including support for maintaining temporary worker status in Canada, work permit changes and applications for permanent residency. The incumbent will ensure compliance with federal and provincial immigration regulations.

  • Provide advice and act as a resource person regarding federal and provincial immigration procedures and regulations for targeted employee groups, regarding work permits, entry visas, work permit changes, Quebec Acceptance Certificates (CAQ), etc.;
  • Ensure that all immigration/visa application documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Provide updates on the progress of applications and assist in finding solutions to problems;
  • Provide statistics and reports, maintain data management systems, generate statistics, review information and produce immigration reports for Alithya;
  • Ensure that Alithya complies with the Department of Citizenship and Immigration Act and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act of the Government of Canada, as well as the rules established by the Ministère de lImmigration, de la diversité et de lintégration (MIDI) of the Government of Quebec;
  • Liaise with provincial and federal agencies on immigration matters;
  • Keep abreast of new developments and changes in legislation and analyze their impact;
  • Develop appropriate procedures and ensure their implementation in a complex and constantly changing regulatory environment;
  • Prepare communications on changes and implement changes to internal procedures;
  • Develop and update communications (web pages, brochures and FAQ).
When it just clicks!Does this sound like you
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. immigration law);
  • Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) authorization obtained in Quebec;
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in the technology industry (an asset);
  • Good understanding of finance, taxation and accounting;
  • Interpersonal skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Customer and service orientation, demonstrated ability to work with people at all levels and the ability to be effective and diplomatic in sensitive situations;
  • Proven ability to show initiative;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in French and English. Level expected:
