Job Description

janitorAre you looking for career opportunities within a global,growing real estate companyThen you might be our next janitor.job descriptionAkelius is seeking a janitor to maintain a residential property within the portfolio.The janitor will assist the property manager with maintaining tenant living conditions to a high standard.The selected individual will ensure the cleanliness of the propertys interior and exterior.The ideal candidate will be a team player and able to work with little supervision.

  • perform landscaping duties
  • address common area deficiencies by making repairs or escalating the matter to the Property Manager
  • complete regular scheduled inspections
  • provide professional and prompt service to the residents who report problems
  • inspect all vacant units once weekly to ensure units are in good showing condition
  • respond to all emergencies such as fire, floor, no heat, elevator failure, power failure, and any other such problem that could be termed an emergency
  • test all fire alarms and emergency generators and carry out all inspections and update all logbooks required for fire safety
  • inspect sidewalk and driveway conditions a minimum of three times a day and maintain a daily snow log form during the winter season
  • secure the property by controlling master keys and the keys of all vacant suites
  • other duties as assigned
who you are
  • bilingual in French and English
  • one plus years’ experience in a similar role as a property janitor
  • availability to work a flexible schedule
