YOUR ROLEAs the Ladies Footwear Product Developer, your responsibility is to thoroughly source/select best product/price and manage development lifecycle. Ensuring the set budgets and category profitability targets are respected. Prompt communication with vendors overseas as well as local accounts, and internal teams. Supporting with divisional projects as well as providing trend and product insights.The ideal person has a positive attitude, is energetic, self-motivated, excited about commercial trends.Responsibilities:
  • Select/develop balanced collection (styles, breath, and depth) based on the needs of the division.
  • Monitor competition on an ongoing basis.
  • Attend internal product filtering sessions to ensure product needs are met.
  • Monitor, analyze & report on product performance (weekly sales, weekly best sellers) Globo/Aldo/CIS, have top best sellers always printed and identified in pre build.
  • Achieve target budget and margins through consistent strategic selection of vendors achieve sell-through targets.
  • Collaboration activities to ensure calendar activities are delivered.
  • Work closely with divisions footwear teams to ensure creating a cohesive collection.
  • Ensure the plm data entry is properly recorded, with buy coordinators/afe team.
  • Source new potential vendors who can meet or exceed Globo’s needs for the business.
  • Create the trend portion of the quarterly product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with ass’t buyer on k/d/u on private brand categories, supported by senior buyer, approved by director.
  • Style/depth/cost exf negotiation and communication with all pr brand vendors
  • In season projects: new updated box, eas tags, etc…..
  • Design/corrections on collection for the division, all categories.
DO YOU HAVE THE PROFILE WERE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Business, or related Degree
  • Illustrator, cad design knowledge
  • 2-3 years retail experience
  • Excellent communication skills, great attitude, and a strong team player
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PP)
  • Skilled problem solver and ability to adapt to frequently changing needs of the business.
  • Have an eye for up to the minute fashion trends.
  • Outstanding commercial awareness, with a strong understanding of seasons trends.
  • Good time management, prioritization, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Experience with a SAP/PLM system is considered an asset
  • Travel local and international, trade shows.
