Job Description

Role Summary:This role is developing into a client relationship leader by establishing a local presence and building external relationships over time. Responsibilities include identifying new clients for CF Marché des Promenades and working with existing clients to satisfy expansion/renewal requirements. This role collaborates with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition through each of the client touch points.You will:

  • Assist in the development of well formulated strategic leasing plans for assigned assets that are aligned to the strategic approach for national clients.
  • Identify, source and secure new local clients, and work with existing clients to satisfy expansion/renewal requirements.
  • Negotiate deal terms with local clients and follow up on the execution of final documentation.
  • Execute client service standards to ensure a smooth transition from the offer to lease through build-out of leasehold improvements, and move in as well as rental billing.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients. Actively seek, listen and respond to client feedback to ensure alignment of their needs to our goals.
  • Assist with the execution of strategic leasing plans, ensuring plans are adjusted to meet broad commitments and long term direction beyond three years.
  • Implement the client brand strategy in order to ensure a consistent approach nationally.
  • Collaborate and consult internally to build cross functional relationships within the portfolio.
  • Proactively enhance Cadillac Fairview’s image externally through industry events such as Internal Council of Shopping Centers, Building Owners and Managers Association, Toronto Real Estate Forum, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s delegated authorities policy and completion of appropriate business cases in a timely manner.
  • Execute the budget for the 3 and 5 year plan.
  • May participate in special assignments at a portfolio and national level.
You have:
  • Post secondary education in a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years experience in commercial real estate or sales
  • Basic understanding of commercial leasing, merchandising and client needs
  • Proficient computer skills
Core Competencies and Skills:
  • Some exposure to a client focused approach to leasing
  • Strong prospecting skills, follows trends in retail, food and beverage
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations
  • Basic financial and business acumen
  • Basic aptitude for identifying, assessing and managing both risks and opportunities
  • Some exposure in interpreting financial data, lease documents and market research
  • Ability to collaborate, consult and build strong internal relationships within a national organization
  • Ability to work under pressure and to embrace change
