  • Handle Ocean Export freight files from A to Z
  • Problem solving skills and good judgement
  • Read, monitor and respond promptly to all incoming communications in order to properly manage and control daily operations
  • Ensure compliance with all CBSA, Transport Canada and other relevant government regulations
  • Communicate clearly, timely and effectively with customers, overseas offices, agents, customs brokers and domestic vendors
  • Verification of OBL & Payment requirements prior to shipment release
  • Shipment delivery arrangements and planning
  • Guaranteeing and billing of storage/demurrage for approved accounts
  • Responsible for efficiently resolving customer complaints and implement measures to prevent their frequency and recurrence
  • Other tasks and duties may also be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication and verbal skills in English and French
  • Familiarity with CBSA procedures
  • Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, critical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Education in Supply Chain or International Trade an asset
