Job Description

As Manager, Trust & Safety Operations & Child Safety, you will be responsible for leading our approach to safety policy across our portfolio of websites and apps, enhancing the experience of millions of users worldwide, and helping to shape the future of our globally recognized brands.A detail-oriented role, the Trust and Safety Manager will work closely with a number of departments within the organization, sitting at the intersection of Communications, Corporate Security, Support, Legal, and Engineering teams. You will take a proactive approach to identifying and responding to risks by collaborating on worldwide policy and implementing tools that ensure our websites and apps are safe spaces for users, viewers, content creators and partners.Prioritizing community safety, you will analyze and review existing policies and protocols, monitor and prepare for global legislative and regulatory changes, develop and maintain relationships with advocacy and research groups, NGOs, and other key international third-party expert resources, and liaise with Legal and Communications teams to implement and effectively communicate initiatives.What you will be doing:

  • Prioritize community safety
  • Collaborate with moderation teams to improve processes and tools
  • Develop and oversee various policies, enforcement procedures, and reporting mechanisms
  • Report incidents relating to child safety including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) to relevant law enforcement and/or non-governmental agencies, while using sound judgment to respond to and escalate urgent child safety incidents
  • Prepare documentation related to new policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Proactively identify risks to the company and its business interests
  • Collaborate with outside Trust and Safety vendors on tools and initiatives
  • Support the standardization of all policies across all internal business units and content sharing platforms
  • Oversee data analysis and regular reporting to identify and evaluate abuse trends to adapt and improve policies and processes
What youll need to be successful:Must Haves:
  • 5+ years of experience working in trust & safety operations/ internet safety
  • 1+ years of experience in a people leadership role or experience leading large projects
  • Familiar with online child safety best practices
  • Bachelors degree in law, communications, marketing, or related field
  • Experience in customer support, anti-abuse or content review
  • Ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments and juggling many projects at once
  • Track record showing effective business judgment
