Job Description

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATORReporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, the Marketing Communications Coordinator will be responsible for creating and maintaining content on internal and external communications channels at ILSC Education Group and ELS Language Services. On a day-to-day basis, the Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the timely and effective development and distribution of marketing and communication assets and materials to a variety of internal and external audiences.This is a remote position, and the successful candidate must be located and legally able to work in Canada.Special Instructions

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists with content updates to websites, social media channels and digital signage channels.
  • Assists with writing, editing, proofreading and fact-checking copy for communications and marketing collateral.
  • Send out marketing e-blasts using HubSpot’s email marketing tool
  • Develop and maintain B2B and B2C email campaigns and automated email workflows
  • Experience developing marketing automation retention strategies
  • Write persuasive and sticky copy for B2B and B2C emails, including captivating subject lines, body content, and calls to action.
  • Sends out pre-event emails to audience members
  • Maintains email lists using HubSpot CRM
  • Create web pages for events, webinars, and new product launches
  • Assists with the maintenance of social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, YouTube
  • Provides graphic design support in the creation of digital communications and marketing collateral using software including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional. This includes website graphics, video graphics, event collateral, digital signage content, e-blasts and social media
  • Assists with maintaining photo, video libraries.
  • Research and source photographs and other assets for use in communications and marketing initiatives and projects.
  • Keeps up-to-date with industry trends, developments, new techniques and copyright and intellectual property regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Successful completion of a degree or diploma in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field.
  • Minimum three (2) years’ experience with creating, writing and editing content, including storytelling, for communications purposes, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to design high-quality digital and print communications and marketing collateral using the latest version of Adobe software using Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional)
  • Recent experience developing, delivering, and maintaining content for internal communications channels, such as websites, e-newsletters, blogs, and internal social media.
  • Recent experience with content management, social media, and email delivery systems. Experience with SharePoint, HubSpot CRM, and Canva is an asset.
  • Ability to effectively source photographs and videos using various online digital asset and stock libraries.
  • Demonstrated ability in writing creatively for a variety of audiences – e.g. faculty, staff, administration, students, external communities as well as media – and in different voices for education, information sharing, news, storytelling, promotion, etc.
  • Proven ability to explain complex information in a simple yet compelling way for a variety of different audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proof-reading skills
  • Intermediate knowledge in the use of computer software applications including word processing (MS Word), spreadsheets (Excel), presentations (PowerPoint), photo and video editing.
  • Proven self-starter who seeks challenges and continual learning, as well as an ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced English language proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation and writing skills.
  • The ability to exercise a high degree of initiative and responsibility with minimal supervision.
  • Proven success as a team player with the ability to communicate and build effective relationships with individuals internally and externally to an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across departments, and support administrators and other employees..
