Job Description

Based in our St Laurent, Quebec location with participation in our Hybrid work schedule . You will work in an energetic environment with opportunities to grow among a dynamic marketing and sales team. The ideal candidate is a fast-learner and brings smart execution and optimization around lead generation and lead nurture campaigns via tradeshows, traditional media, paid digital media (PPC, Paid Search) and owned content (landing page, web, and email) to drive new prospects and customers to adopt the product installed by thousands of hotels, schools, assisted living residences, and other commercial facilities.Your focus in this role is to support traditional and digital marketing programs aimed at awareness, consideration, lead acquisition and lead nurture for the most effective smart thermostat and energy management system in the hospitality and multi-family market today.Verdant Environmental Technologies is a top focus business unit in the Comfort Control division of Emerson. We are the preeminent providers of Energy Management Solutions for the hotel industry and other commercial building types.Flexible Work Schedule – Hybrid Work OptionThis role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.As a Marketing Intern, you will support:

  • Traditional and digital marketing coordination
    • Work closely with Marketing Manager to outline and execute a cross-channel marketing strategy including tradeshow, traditional, and digital marketing efforts
    • Assist in building and assessing campaign analytics and reporting/dashboards to ensure lead acquisition and lead nurture campaigns are delivering against goals and KPIs.
    • Support Marketing Manager in developing key digital and sales enablement efforts including print materials, paid media / digital marketing assets, product documentation, spec sheets, manuals, etc.
    • Coordinate layouts of technical documentation, working closely with engineering and product teams for content and assets
    • Assist in creating and managing project timelines with multiple stakeholders
  • Tradeshow support and coordination
    • Help Marketing Manager to identify key tradeshow opportunities and help manage tradeshow schedule and plan for the year
    • Develop and update key tradeshow assets and coordinate with vendors to produce new materials when needed
    • Help manage process for planning conference registration / vendor agreements, making sure tradeshow assets and signage are shipped and setup, as well as on-site team schedules and travel details
  • Website and landing page updates
    • Make periodic content updates to website and campaign-based landing pages
    • Work closely with email marketing team to help build targeted, persona-based email journeys that help drive leads from awareness/interest to consideration and qualification
  • CRM and lead qualification / assignment
    • Support Marketing Manager to prioritize, qualify, and assign leads to the proper sales team members within SalesForce.
    • Develop methodologies for funnel optimizations and lead prioritization with sales team
    • Manage key incoming lead channels (i.e., website chat / lead forms)
    • Assist in the reporting, analytics and dashboard efforts that enable strong marketing / sales funnel insights and marketing channel optimizations by working closely with our Salesforce customer experience team to develop reports and dashboards that help quickly and regularly monitor campaign performance, channel effectiveness, sales qualification trends/insights.

You manage resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
  • University degree with a focus on marketing, communications, or other relevant discipline.
  • Previous experience in marketing or relevant professional experience
  • Working knowledge of website content management platforms like Wordpress, CRM & Marketing automation tools
  • Experience working in Adobe Creative programs (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future

  • Understanding of B2B marketing
  • Working experience in Salesforce CRM
  • Working experience in Wordpress CMS
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team
  • Great communication and collaboration skills

  • Critical thinker, who can analyze and improve processes
  • Knowledge of French
SchedulePart-time (20hours/week). We offer the flexibility of a core hour work schedule. Employees can flex their start and stop times given they are working during the core hours of 10:00am – 4:00pm.
