Position Description As part of Valsoft’s expansion strategy, we are building a distinct robust data business by carving out and growing the data businesses from two recently acquired assets: GbBIS (https://www.gbbis.com/) and Anju Software (https://www.anjusoftware.com/). This portfolio of businesses represents a strategic roll-up strategy within Valsoft, aimed at creating a portfolio of leading data sciences businesses. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, Operations, we are seeking a Portfolio Manager, Data, to lead, manage and grow our newly established data business. You will oversee all aspects of operations, transform and lead the existing assets, and shape the direction and growth of the portfolio. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the data business, focusing on driving profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Execute within our operating model based on four pillars: strategy and positioning of the business, operational excellence, growth, and product strategy and technology.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to optimize business performance and align resources with strategic goals.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and supporting new opportunities and growth strategies, including penetrating new markets.
  • Drive initiatives and solve challenges related to sales, customer success and research and development within your portfolio of businesses. Prioritize customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring strong solutions, service delivery and customer support within your portfolio companies.
  • Ensure your portfolio companies have clear product roadmaps established and executed on, balancing investments in research and development with maintenance to maximize new customer growth while retaining existing customers.
  • Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive product strategies aligned with market trends and the business objectives of the companies in your portfolio.
  • Oversee the portfolio’s financial performance, including managing the P amp;L.
  • Lead, manage and grow a high-performing team.
RequirementsExperience
  • 5+ years’ experience in business operations from consulting and/or relevant industry experience, with strong expertise in data science.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, computer science, engineering, or any other relevant field. 
  • Financial acumen (P amp;L management, budget, forecast).
  • Leadership experience, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Relevant experience as a business operations leader with a commercial, customer-centric and continuous improvement mindset. 
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and drive results.
