The researcher would join a multidisciplinary team, comprising the research groups of J. Mauzeroll, J. P. Lumb and T. Friščić at McGill University, and researchers at an industrial partner in the mining industry. The project is supported by an Alliance Grant (NSERC) that aims to improve the efficiency of separating precious metals by introducing mechanochemical processes into the production chain.The position is available immediately, and preference will be given to applicants who can begin within a short time window. Funding is available for a multi-year appointment, renewable on a yearly basis contingent upon mutual satisfaction. The Postdoctoral Researcher will develop novel conditions for sample activation, using state-of-the-art facilities available in the Chemistry Department (https://www.mcgill.ca/mc2).
