  • Ability to articulate product vision in your area, documenting both short-term plans and long-term strategy.
About the jobAs a Product Manager on the Chrome Payments team, you will be a key member of the Chrome Transactions Product Manager (PM) team. Youll be part of company-wide and industry-wide initiatives to build the next generation of payment capabilities for Chrome and the open web. You will drive forward the formation of a clear, coherent product strategy, working with stakeholders across Chrome, the rest of Google, and across the industry. You will work closely with other Chrome Transactions PMs, and partner teams inside and outside of Chrome.In this role, you will join a diverse team of PMs, developers, and cross-functional partners with team members and partner teams located in Canada, Germany, the UK, the US, and more. You will be part of Chrome Browser’s Trust and Safety area. Alternative locations with good timezone fit (Eastern Time/CET) can be explored.Chrome is dedicated to building a better, more open web. We’re focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a safe and secure way.Chrome is available across all major platforms — iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security.Responsibilities
  • Contribute to forming a coherent product strategy for payments on the web and drive it forward, getting buy-in from stakeholders across Chrome and the rest of Google.
  • Outreach, engagement, and alignment with the wider ecosystem involving standardization bodies, other browser vendors, and web developers.
  • Drive a multi-year roadmap for payments on the web from idea to launch.
  • Evolve Secure Payments Confirmation and its implementation in Chrome towards a frictionless experience for users that is well integrated with the browser and supports payment providers across the web.
  • Partner with teams across Chrome to build consistent payment experiences across various forms of payments, from credit cards over bank transfer to wallets.
