Job Description

Employment Type: PermanentContract Duration:About the team you are joiningYou will join the IATA Training team responsible for product design, development, and delivery. For 50 years, our training products have been helping businesses operate safely, efficiently, and sustainably, building career opportunities for the people they employ. While ensuring constant innovation and enhancement in accordance with aviation industry needs team is also responsible for implementing the latest learning principles across all training delivery formats supporting human performance across all functional levels.You will have overall responsibility for the full lifecycle of the portfolio management, ensuring that the products remain relevant, attractive for the marketplace and meet departmental commercial targets.You will report to the Senior Product Manager, Safety TrainingWhat your day would be likeKey management functions include: (1) training portfolio learner experience design, (2) management of training course schedule, (3) recruitment and performance management of IATA learning facilitators, (4) management of training course pricing, (5) management of the training portfolio budget (budget planning, forecasting, meeting of revenue and operating result targets). On a daily basis you will engage with and manage a number of stakeholders, namely:

  • engage with IATA subject matter experts on content updates and new product ideas in line with industry needs, converting the latest industry standards and publications into relevant training products;
  • engage with IATA regional sales managers on sales lead pipeline growth and participate in customer meetings;
  • engage with IATA facilitators to update existing training materials and develop new training products;
  • engage with IATA training coordinators to ensure smooth and timely delivery of all training courses and disbursement and receipt of all payments associated with course delivery;
  • collaborate with the Marketing team to define and execute the marketing strategies and ensure that market needs are incorporated into product strategy;
  • You will work with different stakeholders, maintaining and developing faculty membership worldwide, through careful selection, recruitment and performance management of external facilitators and subject matter experts;
  • Quality assurance is another key component of the role and you will have the opportunity to oversee the product delivery process, ensuring IATA Training provides high quality courses in accordance with the Standards defined by the IATA Design & Quality team;
  • You will manage production and distribution activities on an ongoing basis, ensuring scalable portfolio offering across all learning formats and provide appropriate material to support our training distribution partners;
  • On a need basis, you will conduct competitor benchmarking, prepare business cases studies, blog articles, conduct financial and commercial analysis of performance of the products in your portfolio.
We would love to hear from you if
  • University degree with focus in aviation, safety, human factors, air traffic management, business or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of regulations, standards and policies related to safety oversight, human factors, and/or air traffic management.
  • Experience gained in commercial air transport or Civil Aviation Authority or Air Navigation Service Provider.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in product and project management, business development, or training delivery.
  • Experience in implementation of instructional design methodologies and course development especially in relation to digital learning.
  • Excellent PC skills, particularly with MS Office programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.
  • Professional certification in adult learning would be an asset.
