  • Anticipate and manage risks and opportunities of the Project in an efficient and pro-active manner.
  • Ensure mitigation plans are defined and related actions are performed.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITIESSupport the Project Manager and the Project Team on risks aspects.Key accountabilities:Support the Deputy Project director and the Project Team on risks aspects.Risk Management Policy and Procedures:
  • Define and implement a Project Risk Management Plan (possible part of the PMP).
  • Ensure that Project members are trained at an appropriate level in the discipline of Risk Management by running seminars and training courses.
Risk Identification and Assessment:
  • Act as a support to Project Team for the identification and the assessment of risks, and the implementation and follow-up of mitigation actions.
  • Act as leader on risk identification ‘brainstorming’ sessions.
  • Propose risk owners within the Project for approval by the Project Manager.
  • Evaluate each identified risk in collaboration with the risk owners.
Risk Mitigation and Monitoring:
  • Act as a support to risk owners for the definition, the implementation and the follow-up of mitigation actions.
  • Ensure that the approved risk mitigation actions are integrated into the main Project schedule and budget, by linking with the project schedule and cost control team.
  • Monitor progress on risks and risk mitigation actions.
Risk Reporting:
  • Create and maintain consolidated Risk Register.
  • Produce regular Risk Assessment Reports
  • Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.

  • Regular risk sessions held with the Core Team and WPO
  • Clear mitigation plans with Person in Charge identified
  • Traceability of the information and decisions for MPR, SPR
  • Deeper investigation with the Core Team in case of main risk occurring on a project
EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES & REQUIRED COMPETENCESEducational RequirementsMandatory:
  • Project management background level depending on the complexity of the Project/Program
  • Good knowledge of railway products and systems
Desirable:
  • AACE Certified (DRMP)
ExperienceMandatory:
  • Experience of Risk management processes within ALSTOM way of Working
Desirable:
  • IPMA-D
Competencies & Skills
  • Ability to detect unusual risks out of RFP documents and level of ambition taken within the offered solutions (including costing and planning aspects)
