In this role, you will supervise the Emerging Technologies Lab whose objective is acquires new technologies, promotes those innovations by packaging them in demos, builds prototypes targeting specific applications to validate that the technology is ready for transfer. Our team validates that those state-of-the-art technologies are relevant and scalable to meet the most challenging needs of ServiceNow’s customers.RoleApplied research is the process through which we apply fundamental concepts to the real world in all its imperfect and unpredictable glory. In this role, you will manage the applied research team responsible for mature disruptive technologies . You will be part of the Research leadership team and will contribute to the evolution and growth of ServiceNow Research. You will thrive in this role when you are a strong communicator and problem-solver: necessary to bridge the gap from fundamental research through applied research, to early production work. You will also have to bridge all aspects and disciplines that are essential to building trustworthy AI such as engineering, design, data governance, machine learning and social acceptance.QualificationsTo be successful in this role you have:

• A MSc with 4 years of experience (preferably in industry) no management experience needed
• Good people skills
• Experience in research project management
• Passion for and past work in AI Applied research.
• Experience working with AI/ML models and techniques
• Familiarity with doing a literature review, evaluating, and implementing (sometimes from scratch) the best solution found.
• Capacity to deal well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to communicate research findings to a non-research audience.
• A “getting things done” mindset.
