Note that the position may be in the Canadian Branch of BNP Paribas or in one of its subsidiaries based in Montreal.The position at a glanceCome and join the Cash Management Control Tower team based in Montréal as an assistant vice-president!This team is part of a bigger worldwide setup based in Singapore, Paris, Brussels, Lisbon and Montréal. The main mission: ensure a 24/7 follow-up of all financial operations on highly critical banking applications in a “follow-the-sun” setup.You will join the team in Montreal, a dynamic, cohesive and motivated team, to meet the challenges related to one of the most critical activity in the BNP PARIBAS Group.You will support the CMCT Montreal’s manager to organize the daily activities and work on transversal topics to improve the skills and the expertise of the whole team.You will regularly interact with your colleagues in Singapore, Lisbon or Paris to share about your activities and your projects.Occasionally, you will also participate to the regular monitoring activities depending on the specific needs of the moment. Monitoring activities are performed in staggered hours from 11:30am to 7:30pm. Others activities are performed on normal business hours, usually from 9am to 6pmAs BNP Paribas employees, you will automatically receive a competitive salary and all the industry standard for social advantages.You will also be required to work some weekends (6 hours shift per day – around 13 weekends per year). For the weekends shift, BNP will provide you with an important financial compensation (you will get it as soon as you are onboarded in the team) on top of the equivalent days off.In detailSupport the manager in the management of the team

  • Be the backup on the follow-up activities, tasks dispatching and planning management within the team
  • Help to hire new members for the team
  • Work with the manager to develop the activity
  • Monitor the quality of the activity performed by the team
Take in charge evolution and transformation projects of the CMCT Montreal team at local level
  • Ensure the deployment of any new controls and monitoring actions in the team
  • Strengthen the cooperation between CMCT Montreal and the Cash Management and SWIFT teams in Montreal
Be part of the CMCT projects at worldwide level
  • Be the SPOC of CMCT Montreal for the Process and project team based in Paris
  • Evaluate the impacts of all new CMCT project on the activity of CMCT Montreal
  • Participate to the different steering committees and be part of the decisions taken
  • Occasionally, ensure the regular monitoring activites of the team
  • Ensure the functional monitoring of SWIFT, Cash Management and banking services assets
  • Incident management: coordinate and monitor incidents
  • Perform functional tasks to planned changes in collaboration with the IT teams.
  • Ensure the management of the business requests
  • Be part of the continuous improvement of the team
  • Proactively suggests improvements and new ways of working to the team to improve efficiency within the activities.
  • Be part of the team: participate to daily meetings, share knowledge and feedbacks with your colleagues.
The strengths and skills that will help you succeedIn addition of a combination of basic technical and functional skills, the candidate should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.She/He/They must have a genuine willingness to handle and manage tasks with a high level of autonomy and alert and be able to take initiatives. The team is always available to help.TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience either in the fields of IT or Application Support, banking operations/client service or Client Management (call-center…)
  • An experience on Cash Management and/or Swift in a big financial institution is necessary
  • University degree, preferably Bachelor in IT or Business Administration is a plus for the job.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Advanced knowledge on financial messaging standards (SWIFT MT/MX, SEPA…) is necessary
  • Understanding of complex financial flow charts is mandatory
  • Knowledge on ticketing tools (like JIRA, Service Now…)
  • Knowledge on Information Systems and Technical/Functional architecture is a plus
SOFT SKILLS
  • Strong communication skills (writing and oral) in English and in French are mandatory.
  • Ability to understand, explain and lead changes
  • Analytical and information structuring skills
  • Ability to manage a project (ensuring follow-up, organizing meetings, taking decisions in the delegated scope…)
  • Ability to develop and/or adapt a process
  • Trouble shooting: be able to take initiatives and problem solving
  • Stress resistance: responsiveness and capacity to prioritize your actions
  • Ability to collaborate (strong team player)
  • Languages: fluent in French and good level in English
AVAILABILITY
  • The team is part of a follow-the-sun model that is based on European activities:
    • The team members are requested to work several weekends per year (around 13 weekends per year) and during public holidays. You get a compensation as a important financial premium automatically given and several days off for each worked weekend or worked public holiday
    • During the week, for your main activities, you will work in usual business hours (9AM to 6PM). Occasionally, you can have to work in staggered hours as the rest of the team members (11:30AM – 07:30PM) to ensure monitoring activities when required.
