It is privately held and has achieved high double digit annual growth and profitability since its inception.Job DescriptionReporting to the Associate Manager of Photography, the Lead Photographer is responsible for overseeing daily photo team functions to ensure that all production needs are met. They will play a crucial role in developing key processes to help the team achieve their goals. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of photography and workflow and is energized by leading a team of creatives to do their best work. This role requires a highly collaborative style and the ability to influence and motivate others to drive performance results.RESPONSIBILITIESProduction Management - 60%

  • Liaise with Associate Manager of Photography and Photography Specialist to achieve daily production targets while adhering to strict visual standards
  • Collaborate closely with Associate Producers to ensure that production and booking needs are met
  • Collaborate closely with Studio Merchandising team to review preps, editing where need be to accommodate photographers needs
  • Source top talent and scale team to support yearly growth in production
  • Identify and solve production problems as they arise, such as last minute cancellations, outsourcing issues or ad hoc requests
  • Manage the inventory of photo equipment
Team Development - 40%
  • Support the Associate Managers recruiting strategy by screening, interviewing and onboarding new full time and freelance photographers
  • Develop onboarding programs for new hires and freelancers to ensure seamless integration within the team
  • Provide mentorship catalyzing growth through coaching and team building
  • Implement and update performance tracking system
  • Report to the Associate Manager of Photography on team performance
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in photography, management or related field
  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience working as a photographer in an e-commerce studio
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a leadership role
  • Experience with drafting, documenting and implementing new procedures
  • Experience working with Excel and Google suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
