Send us your resume and join a people-centric company with a reputation of excellence.Job DescriptionIn order to properly serve the needs of the company, the Transport Team, which is made up of three people, namely: a department manager, and two transport advisors, is looking for a transport and customs analyst. The person sought will be able to interpret and analyze data in order to support the various stakeholders in the supply chain. To accomplish this, the person will:

  • Analyze products to determine the most appropriate HS code and opportunities to reduce customs duties by various means (certificate of origin, duty drawback, ruling)
  • Liaise between different departments to solve and coordinate logistical problems
  • Conduct analyzes for various transportation projects and initiatives
  • Be the main point of contact with the customs broker to resolve import and export merchandise issues.
  • Audit customs documents to verify compliance
  • Respond to questions from the Canada Border Services Agency
QualificationsTo join our team, you need:
  • Diploma in operations management, logistics or any other related field. Certificate in customs compliance is an asset.
  • Possess 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, in a similar role, at distributor level or in the retail trade.
  • Analytical mind and communication skills; demonstrated ability to perform functional analyses.
  • Have good knowledge of customs and transport regulations; CUSMA, rules of origin, HST code, Incoterms Canada and United States, transport documents.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving skills and ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization. Good priority management and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Very good command of MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written in French and English.
