  • Supervise each production line and make sure operating smoothly
  • Manage warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage and to achieve full warehouse optimization
  • Ability to coach, train and lead work teams to achieve performance as it relates to specialization in receiving, shipping and processing
  • Coordinate, assign, and review the work of the Shipping Department and all employees involved in logistics control
  • Plan and execute logistics needs with trucking firms to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, while minimizing overall freight costs.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods and shipments, and report any damages, defects, discrepancies
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments
Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capability of motivating
  • Excellent communications skills for liaising and communicating with vendors, customers and internal departments
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
  • Ability to perform physical activities and lift or carry items between 25 lbs. when required
  • Safety awareness
  • Experience in logistic/forwarding industry
