If you’re passionate about the user experience, love technology, and are driven to bring out the best in others, you’ll enjoy working at CBC/Radio-Canada.Your rolePlease note that this is a full-time contract position, lasting one year.As a Web Content Editor, you will edit copy, headlines and visuals produced by your colleagues for posting on the Radio-Canada.ca site, ensuring adherence to digital and corporate standards. You will therefore stay current on developments in the digital space. You will also occasionally write content for different sections of our site. You will assist with short- and medium-term planning for upcoming publications, as well as their promotion across Radio-Canada’s various platforms and on social media. You will work on special projects, applying your cross-disciplinary expertise in multimedia content production. The quality of your written French must be outstanding and superior to that of your co-workers.We are looking for a candidate with the following:A) Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Two (2) or more years’ relevant experience.
B) Skills:
  • Good general and current-events knowledge.
  • Superior French-language skills.
  • Knowledge of English an asset.
  • Proficiency with communication techniques and tools specific to digital platforms.
  • Good knowledge of research and interview techniques.
  • High tolerance for stress and ability to work well under pressure during rush periods.
  • Ability to work effectively on a team.
  • Ability to select relevant items for posting online, then adapt, summarize and add to them as required.
  • Editorial skills; excellent knowledge of grammar and syntax.
  • Ability to determine the order items appear.
  • Strong ability to digitize, format, and edit audiovisual material.
Selected candidates will be tested as follows :
  • Theory test: Position-related knowledge.
  • Practical test: French language test
  • Interview
