This is your opportunity, join us!For further information, please visit Grass Valley.         The Role Reporting to the VP, HR, the HR Director, Americas is responsible for the overall people agenda and management of the Human Resources function of the Americas region, including Canada, US and LATAM. This role will promote the linkage between business and human resources activities and facilitate solutions to employee and leadership issues. Primary responsibilities of the role include:

  • Contribute to and support the delivery of the HR strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of HR systems and policies in line with best practices.
  • Drive and deliver HR initiatives to support business needs, such as talent acquisition and development, employee engagement, performance management and organizational change.
  • Champion a performance culture and continuously review productivity and employee development making recommendations for improvements.
  • Lead on special projects and communicate and direct on strategy and implementation and support any HR global projects.
  • HR operations activities such as payroll and benefits, on-boarding, employee relations, administration tec.
  • Update top management on critical human resource situations and issues, including changes in manpower needs, legal considerations, hiring / disciplinary / termination practices etc.
  • Coach and develop the Americas HR team, leaders, and managers.
  • Ensure legal compliance is met in all HR activities.
  • Supervise, monitor and coach the Americas HR team members to ensure excellence delivery and smooth running of the day-to-day HR operation matters.
What you #39;ll need to be successful:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field
  • Proven experience in HR generalist roles and/or business partnering.
  • Experience in leading and developing a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to talent management.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to read and converse in French.
  • Ability to travel.
