Today, we are setting the benchmark across every tire and travel-related services market, while leading a global strategy to drive sustainable, profitable growth.Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., which employs 3,600 people and operates three tire manufacturing facilities in Nova Scotia, is seeking a Process Quality Engineer to join its team in Pictou County, Nova Scotia.The role of the Process Quality Engineer is to establish, define and monitor process parameters to ensure the quality and quantity of products produced. These efforts are undertaken with the shared goals of safety, quality, cost and delivery.Responsibilities:This position requires the successful candidate to ensure production and quality progress performance in their area of responsibility. Job responsibilities include:Taking part in quality planning for products, materials, processes and methods,establishing and implementing quality standards and ensuring compliance;utilization of digital tools to analyze quality results;defining and implementing proactive corrective and preventative action plans for improvement,designing and carrying out tests to evaluate changes with raw materials, equipment, automation and/or overall process,participating in quality planning, including feasibility studies,participating in product start-ups and evolutions,participating in projects and teams to resolve quality issues,acting as a liaison between the quality and technical departments,supporting operations by monitoring production quality, performance, and maintenance problems and participating in necessary corrections,contributing to the evolution of plant processes, andassisting in maintaining the product model.Requirements for this position include:A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Process Engineering, or equivalent.,1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is helpful,hands-on mechanical proficiency,fully proficient in English (spoken and written).Assets:The successful candidate should demonstrate the following:strong mechanical awareness and the ability to work comfortably around mechanical equipment, andability to develop positive relationships with internal plant customers and external networks,Competencies: Strong written and verbal communication skills.Well-organized and able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal, leadership and planning skills.How to apply: Candidates should clearly indicate how they meet the requirements listed above in their applications.
