Job Description

DescriptionArchaeological Consultants Canada is seeking part-time and full-time field technicians to join our team. We offer flexible scheduling for part-time applicants, including weekend only shifts.We are seeking staff for projects in the Orangeville and Barrie area; applicants in the KW, GTA, Whitby, London and Hamilton area are encouraged to apply as travel can be arranged or compensated from these locations.A working knowledge of archaeological materials and methodologies is preferred but not required for this position; on the job training will be provided to engaged and motivated hires.Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to conduct physically demanding work associated with archaeological excavation and survey such as shovel digging, lifting up to 40 lbs, working in difficult terrain, and working outdoors.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
  • All levels of experience are encouraged to apply. Compensation is determined by experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology or related field is an asset.
  • Previous archaeological experience is an asset.
