Ref ID: 05060-0012447069Classification: Audit Manager - PublicCompensation: $85000.00 to $100000.00 yearlyOur client, a boutique public practice firm in Burnaby is looking for a Manager, Assurance for their team.We are looking for someone with a sense of urgency, who is well-spoken and demonstrates leadership. The successful candidate will be a personable, motivated individual that wants to turn a career into a business.The Role:

  • Overseeing and managing client assurance and non-assurance engagements;
  • Working closely with partners, staff, and clients to deliver financial statements;
  • Interacting directly with our client’s bankers, lawyers, and other service providers;
  • Assisting in workflow and production management;
  • Participating in the development of our team through engagement level feedback including technical file review, supervising, mentoring, training, and leadership;
  • Delivering client financial statements and advisory packages in a timely manner;
  • Enhancing client advisory skills and delivering advisory services to our clients, including the ability to identify additional value-added services;
  • Assisting in implementing and utilizing technology in providing solutions to clients;
  • Communicating directly with clients on a regular basis and provide valuable insights and recommendations on financial and related matters;
  • Working closely with the partners and managers to grow and manage the firm.
Job Requirements:Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes:
  • CPA designation;
  • Current experience in public practice working with private enterprise clients including reviewing the work of others;
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and engagement budgets;
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Able to deal with issues in a fast-paced environment;
  • Focused on delivering value to clients on a timely and proactive basis;
  • Computer savvy and highly proficient in learning and utilizing software.
