Overview / Responsibilities:Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager in Nipawin, Manitoba supporting a project in the Food & Agri industry.Key ResponsibilitiesEnforces Safety, Health, Environment, and Security requirements with project team members including Construction Contractors and Vendors.As a seconded member into the client’s organization, integrate with the client’s team, plan, execute projects on their behalf.Manage both internal and external project stakeholders and ensure important, relevant information is communicated regularly to all stakeholders.Accountable for Scope, Cost, Schedule, Safety. Ensures project objectives are met.Preparation and presentation of Gate Deliverables / Decision Support Package documents.Establishes baseline budget and schedule. Provides regular forecast updates and resolves schedule issues as they arise.Lead the project team, ensuring everyone is working together and meeting the project objectives.Anticipate resource requirements (people, funding, equipment, et al.) and ensure that they are available when needed.Proactively anticipate, identify, and resolve project-related risks, conflicts, difficulties or problems.Main interface with engineering consultants and site contractor project managers, ensuring that each fulfill their scope-of-work.Ensure issues resolved, timely deliveryEnsures documents are reviewed by Bunge personnel where required prior to getting issued for use.Represent the engineering disciplines on the Owner Team and coordinate input from Bunge Engineering Discipline Reps.Provide leadership for engineering activities and ensure the integrity of the project’s engineering scope.Lead Engineering Discipline Reviews.Ensure good communication between Engineering Discipline Reps and external Engineering Consultants, helping to resolve the conflicts when possible, and escalating them to the Project Manager when appropriate.Manage the Change Control Process for scope, schedule, and budget changes.Approve or endorse Change Requests from engineering consultants, site contractors and materials / equipment vendorsReview and approves purchase requisitions, contracts, and invoicesEnsure that Lessons Learned Reviews are conducted.Ensure that the project is formally closed out.Skills / Qualifications:Degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or construction related field. PMP is preferable.10+ years of experience managing large projects in the Industrial sector. Food and Agri industry experience is an asset, but not essential.Experience with EPC and/or EPCM project delivery.Experience should include proven examples of the candidate’s ability to lead an EPCM team to deliver project and contractual obligations on time and scheduleHave an advanced knowledge of project controls including scheduling, budgeting, risk management progress monitoring and forecasting..Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skillsCandidate may be eligible for a living out allowanceGood verbal and written communicationLeadership and team alignment.Company Overview:Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world’s most critical challenges.
