Job Description

Miles HR has a 3-month contract opportunity for a talented and motivated Event Coordinator for an organization located in North Vancouver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of events and a conference.   • Coordinate and organize events, conferences, webinars, and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile reports on communication effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in crisis communication and manage issues that may arise.
Events and Conferences:
  • Support all aspects of all events and annual conference including registration, prepare sponsor and speaker agreements, prepare and distribute materials
  • Prepare conference materials for all attendees, arrange sponsor recognition, set up and distribute attendee feedback surveys, prepare and execute all follow up
  • Coordinate administrative aspects of trade show including exhibitor package, processing applications, assign booths, prepare show materials and documents
  • Work with communications team to update webpages and develop/schedule marketing emails for events
  • Attend events and annual conference; be the go-to person for attendee and/or exhibitor questions and inquiries
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years recent experience in an Event Planning and Conference coordination role
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Proven experience in communications, public relations, or a related role
  • Experience with website management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation
  • Proven experience with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of design and multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
  • Experience in crisis communication is an asset
