The business development representative will promote oilfield services and report to the Vice President of Business development. The successful candidate will have prior experience in business development and must have experience with completions, turnarounds and production fluid hauling. The successful candidate must be results driven, detail oriented, possess relevant sales and management experience, and have a desire to work in a fast-paced team environment. This position will be promoting services in SE Saskatchewan, SW Manitoba, North Dakota and Montana with the possibility of building business in further regional areas.VERTEX OFFERS

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years of oilfield servicing experience, preference to be given to candidates with a strong background in production fluid hauling, completions and turnarounds
  • 5 years of experience in sales, generating business opportunities, and general entrepreneurship
  • Post-secondary education in business is an asset
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience using a CRM system
  • Valid passport and ability to travel throughout Canada and the USA
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage changing priorities, and the ability to multi task effectively in order to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of people in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Presentation experience with both small and large groups
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Knowledge of, and produce sales in, oil and gas, potash and mining industries
  • Source new business opportunities, clients, and services
  • Travel within the territory to ensure a local presence and understanding of clients and competitors
  • Understand the regional marketplace; develop growth with focus on services that are purchased locally
  • Manage existing clients, business contracts, and support operation personnel on workflow
  • Manage internalamp; external relationships to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and that business relationships are maintained in a professional, service oriented manner
  • Support operations (as needed) to securing new personnel, equipment, and services
  • Assist with responses to request for proposal documents (RFP) and quotes
  • In the event workload requires it, adjust focus to be operationally focused in the execution of projects, contracts and deliverables to ensure client expectations are met
LOCATION
  • This position can be based out of Regina, Alida, Kola, Plentywood or Westhope.
