You also have a strong handle on equipment and field tools, with a healthy respect for the outdoors, while timely completing the task at hand.What you will do:- Arrive at work on time and prepared for the assigned task and shift.- Assist with various tasks as required, track and maintain housekeeping of tools, equipment and materials at project sites, office and in crew vehicles.- Support a positive and professional team atmosphere and acts as a positive ambassador for the company.- Assist Crew Chief in achieving project timelines and deliverables.- Complete mandatory safety training and practice competent operation of all equipment and tasks.- Adhere to, without exception, the safety requirements of the client, OH amp;S and the GeoVerra Safety program.- Actively participate in Emergency Response Planning, Hazard Assessment, Job Safety Analysis development, daily tailgate meetings and comply with all safety requirements.What you will bring:- Diploma/Degree in Geomatics or Civil Engineering Technology, or related discipline preferred, not required.- Previous experience in Surveying or other related types of work in the great outdoors.- Ability and willingness to travel regularly for the client, project, and GeoVerra requirements.- Commitment to respond to situations that occur outside traditional working hours.- Capacity to take directions and communicate effectively.- An understanding of survey methodologies is considered an asset.- A valid Class 5 driver #39;s license and a clean driver #39;s abstract.- Completed training and valid tickets in First Aid, H2S and CSTS safety training is an asset.- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe WorkplaceJob conditions- Out-of-town work (possible shift work) and frequent travel required.- Ability to carry, lift and push up to 50lbs on a regular basis.- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.What we offer- Competitive compensation- Comprehensive benefits coverage, vacation, wellness days, and RRSP matching contributions.- Tools and services to support your mental wellness.- Work-life balance- Growth and advancement opportunities- Paid professional dues.- Continuing education and professional development- Use of leading-edge technology and equipment- Diverse projects and a fast-paced working environmentPlease contact careers@geoverra.com if you have any questions about this role.Powered by JazzHR
