Job Description

Commercial Lines Account Manager (Broker Service)Location: Bedford, Nova ScotiaYour Role within PIBAs a Commercial Account Manager within our Broker Service Division, your objective will be to exceed service standards with key focus on retention and growth targets for our Commercial Business clientele. We are looking for a dynamic and energetic, licensed, commercial service representative interested in helping clients feel confident and appreciated with their business insurance policies with PIB. The role focuses on service with relationship building in collaboration with PIB’s Account Executive.

  • Front line contact to assist our clients with all policy reviews and changes to coverage.
  • You will be the entrusted broker to enhance loyalty and client engagement with our brokerage.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with our existing book of clients.
  • Negotiate and plan with client and carrier for optimal retention and satisfaction
  • Participate in renewal reviews in conjunction with the Account Executive Team.
  • Capitalize on opportunities and foster leads throughout the service cycle. This will include identifying monoline clients, recommending additional coverages, and generating referrals.
  • Provide guidance and support to all branches coast to coast.

  • RIBO Licensed (preferred/must be able to obtain).
  • Service experience in the industry, ideally more than 3 years, servicing clients in a broker support role.
  • Experience in both the group insurance space as well as with affinity programs considered an asset.
  • Strong time management, communication, decision making, client relations.
  • Organized.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and proactive.
  • Must have the ability to effectively interface with clients and PIB team members.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with broker management system (EPIC, TAM, Applied Rating Services)
