We work with children, teens, adults, and families who need help to improve their literacy skills. We work with a variety of community-based organizations to deliver volunteer-run, community-based programs across Canada.In Atlantic Canada, Frontier College runs a variety of tutoring programs in schools and community organizations for children, youth, adults and families in Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton, Miramichi, Halifax and the Preston Township. We also offer summer programming in First Nations communities and in urban settings.We are currently seeking an experienced manager to lead and pursue strategies for development and growth in the region, identify needs and gaps in services, implement initiatives, and to manage staff, programs, and key relationships. Monthly travel is required.Overall AccountabilityThis position represents Frontier College in all 4 provinces of Atlantic Canada and reports to the Regional Director for Quebec, Nunavut, NWT, and Atlantic Canada. The Regional Manager has direct responsibility for Community Coordinators in NS as well as a Regional Coordinator and a Camp Coordinator in NB, and indirect responsibility for interns, summer/placement students, summer camp counsellors and volunteers.Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Stay current on provincial and territorial trends and actively pursue opportunities in consultation with senior leadership
  • Develop and manage relationships with government and private sector prospects
  • Identify opportunities for strategic growth and partnerships; build and maintain relationships with key networks, organizations, and individuals.
  • Conduct regional needs assessments relating to gaps in Literacy and Essential skills service delivery
  • Lead and support the development, implementation, and evaluation of new initiatives.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage performance of staff and work towards effective collaboration between staff.
  • Develop and manage regional program plans and budgets.
  • Ensure program deliverables, evaluations, reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Ensure effective communication, solve problems, and oversee administrative functions.
