More information can be found here.This is a temporary opportunity until April 30, 2023, this temporary opportunity may be extended or become permanent.An eligibility list for future permanent and/or temporary vacancies in Oliver may be established.Bring your strong administrative experience and superior organizational skills to this challenging position.The Regional Support Clerk provides a range of administrative and clerical services in support of the Business Risk Management Branch’s various programs (AgriStability, Production Insurance, Wildlife Damage Compensation) with a specific focus on customer service.This role provides customers with information about the programs and guidelines, provides application packages and forms, assists with completion of program related documentation, and accepts fees and applications for these programs. The position supports the Program Representatives in responding to customer inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring timelines specified in program guidelines are met, and obtains information to assist verification staff and claims staff with the verification and benefit processes. The incumbent is often the first line of contact for producers, agriculture sector representatives and other stakeholders, ensuring the timely communication of information and response to requests while maintaining positive working relationships and a well-organized office environment.Oliver is known as the “Wine Capital of Canada” and is situated amongst many vineyards and fruit orchards in the South Okanagan Valley, one of the most beautiful regions in British Columbia. With its river, small lake, mountains, dry antelope brush and sage grasslands, the area provides many opportunities for outdoor recreation such as bird watching, water activities, hiking, mountain biking, golf and winter activities.   • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
  • A minimum of three (3) years related experience (i.e., clerical, customer service, receptionist, or administrative support etc.).
    • Preference may be given to applicants with four (4) or more years of this experience.
  • A minimum of six (6) months experience delivering or providing direct client service (i.e., face to face customer support).
    • Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more years of this experience.
