Job Description

Join Our Team as a Build and Release Engineer (Azure / Jenkins) We #39;re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Build and Release Engineer with strong experience in Azure, Jenkins, and .NET-based environments. In this hybrid role based in Toronto, you #39;ll play a key role in modernizing and optimizing our build infrastructure, ensuring smooth, scalable, and automated release pipelines. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the current build and release infrastructure, including configurations and responsibilities
  • Evaluate and refine the initial migration strategy for transitioning build systems
  • Build and demonstrate a proof of concept using a selected repository
  • Design a robust migration plan for all remaining repositories
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align on rollout strategy
  • Lead the implementation of the migration plan across the engineering ecosystem
  • Document all aspects of the build system, including setup, maintenance, optimization, and usage best practices
What We #39;re Looking For:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in build/release engineering, CI/CD automation, or backend infrastructure roles
  • Strong background in C# and the .NET framework
  • In-depth experience with Jenkins and other CI/CD tools
  • Solid understanding of Docker and containerized deployment pipelines
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting; familiarity with Groovy scripting is a plus
  • Practical experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based build workflows
  • Knowledge of code generation tools and automation frameworks to enhance development efficiency
  • Experience with Windows Installer technologies such as MSI and WiX Toolset
  • Methodical and analytical problem-solver with a passion for clean, maintainable automation
