Job Summary: The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for leading business and system analysis activities related to the development of a new data warehouse/lakehouse and associated data migration activities. This includes building modernized reports in PowerBI, defining reporting MVP, documenting legacy reports, conducting gap analysis, and documenting report requirements in user stories within DevOps. The role requires strong communication skills to liaise between business areas and the data migration and reporting team. Location: Ontario, Canada.,Responsibilities: - Lead and conduct business and system analysis for building the golden layer of the data lakehouse and modernized reports in PowerBI. - Define the reporting MVP; document legacy reports in scope of MVP; conduct gap analysis and provide recommendations. - Document report requirements in user stories in DevOps. - Liaise between Business Areas and the data migration and reporting team, to clarify business requirements and translate them into system and reporting requirements. - Conduct business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects. - Produce/update documentation to support implemented solutions. - Assist with identifying and resolving data quality issues, defining test cases, performing data reconciliation, and addressing issues during testing. - Develop KPIs to report on the progress, completeness, and quality of the reporting and data migration effort. - Provide post-migration support, analyze and address data-related issues, and help with optimizing data management processes. - Complete work and achieve milestones within assigned deadlines. - Notify the project Manager of any issues or material concerns related to the Assignment Deliverables. - Submit Deliverables for approval as they are completed. - Comply with security procedures and practices. - Comply with architecture/technology standards and best practices. - Comply with Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Guidelines. - Provide knowledge and skill transfer to designated staff.
