Job Summary: This Quality Assurance Specialist position requires a highly skilled individual to plan, execute, and manage all aspects of software testing throughout the system development lifecycle. The role encompasses a wide range of testing methodologies, from unit and integration testing to performance and user acceptance testing. The successful candidate will collaborate extensively with development teams, IT leads, and project managers to ensure high-quality software deliverables, adhering to deadlines and best practices. Experience in the public sector is a valuable asset. Location: Remote, United States Responsibilities: - Provide expert advice on testing strategies, plans, tool selection, and resource allocation. - Plan, organize, and execute testing efforts for large systems (GUI and non-GUI). - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, scripts, and cases for various system components. - Collaborate effectively with testing leads, IT leads, and project team members. - Assist in test planning, case development, and expected results documentation. - Conduct thorough data analysis, cleansing, conversion, and reconciliation. - Execute functional, non-functional, unit, integration, load, performance, and user acceptance tests. - Create and maintain detailed testing documentation (strategies, plans, cases, data). - Utilize CASE tools, data query tools, and automated testing tools. - Manage QA activities, tasks, and project deadlines; prioritize effectively. - Apply knowledge of workflow, portfol - Extensive experience in software testing methodologies and best practices. - Proficiency in developing and executing test plans, scripts, and cases. - Experience with various testing types (functional, non-functional, performance, etc.). - Strong data analysis and manipulation skills. - Experience with testing and bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). - Proficiency with database tools (e.g., Oracle). - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
