Job Summary: This senior-level Systems Analyst role requires extensive experience in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of cost-effective I amp;IT solutions. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to clients, leveraging existing solutions to meet program objectives efficiently. Leadership responsibilities include project coordination, team guidance, and the full systems development lifecycle (SDLC). The role also involves requirements gathering, translating business needs into technical specifications, and ensuring alignment with project goals. Location: Ontario, CanadaResponsibilities: - Provide senior technical expertise in the analysis, design, and architecture of systems solutions. - Lead the development of testing, integration, and implementation of systems solutions. - Guide feasibility studies and cost-effective analyses of I amp;IT initiatives. - Lead technical aspects of projects throughout the SDLC, including planning, scheduling, and resource estimation. - Gather requirements and translate business documents into technical specifications. - Lead development/support teams for multi-dimensional and relational databases. - Design and develop complex applications using relational and multi-dimensional databases. - Provide implementation and post-implementation support. - Oversee research and evaluation of technical components in software/hardware acquisitions. - Recommend and direct improvements to tools, techniques, standards, and performance criteria. - Coach and direct junior analysts. - Run JAD sessions, UAT, and gather requirements. - Perform system testing and integration testing. - Prepare architecture artifacts, including TRA artifacts. - Prepare Test Plans, Test Cases and execute and monitor unit, integration and UAT testing. - Elicit requirements through user interviews, workshops, and JAD facilitation. - Perform manual system testing and integration testing. Required Skillsamp; Certifications: - 10+ years of System Analysis and Design experience in a large, complex business environment. - Expert knowledge in reverse engineering Physical Data Models, creating Entity Relationship Models (ERD), and Metadata Reports. - Demonstrated experience in all project cycles (Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation). - 10+ years of Business Analysis experience. - 10+ years of system testing and integration testing experience. - Experience with system integration. - Proven experience with requirement elicitation techniques. - Manual system testing and integration testing experience. Preferred Skillsamp; Certifications: - Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies. - Knowledge and experience with middleware and gateways. - Understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices. - Experience with development/maintenance of documentation. - Good working knowledge of Dimensions and Facts. - Knowledge of multidimensional structures (cubes). - Knowledge of GO-IT Standards (GO-ITS) and Enterprise Architecture within the RGDMS system. - Hands-on experience with AODA and knowledge of accessibility compliance principles (WCAG 2.0, level AA). - Knowledge and experience related to TRA (Threat, Risk, Assessment) process.
