Job Description

Reporting to the CFO & COO this position will be responsible for managing the Production Canada Accounting system. Using extensive knowledge of accounting, the employee shall analyse, operate, maintain, and improve the accounting system. You will prepare monthly financial statements including but not limited to; government tax filings, profitability analysis by department and client.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Constant analysis of accounting system, finding errors and omissions, and areas for improvement
  • Prepare monthly financial statements – tax filings, profit and loss statements
  • Prepare weekly A/R & A/P reports
  • Ensure accurate payables and receivables
  • Quarterly reports and meetings to CEO & Heads of Departments
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience in an accounting position (Live Event company experience an asset)
  • Excellent working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Time, and DEXT
  • Understanding of Canadian, Provincial, and American tax regulations
  • Exemplary interpersonal and analytical abilities
HOURS AND SALARYRegular shop hours range from 8am-6pm, but we operate a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of our staff. This position could exist in Vancouver, Calgary, Orangeville or virtually from home.Remuneration based on skills and experience per hour.
