Job Description

*Applicants must currently be a resident of Canada**Applicants must be willing to become or currently are affiliated and in good standing with Or LIUNA Labourers unionResponsibilities

  • Safely assist trucks in reversing and collecting load tickets
  • Work with Operators to ensure proper placement of aggregate materials
  • Utilize two way radios
  • Must have some knowledge in civil Construction
  • Be very safety conscious
  • Perform under pressure and deadlines
Experience & Education
  • Minimum of five (2) years’ experience as a Civil Construction Worker
  • Relevant trade certificates related to Heavy Equipment Operation is an asset
  • Knowledge of the Hydro One Standards is an asset
  • Knowledge of Environmental Laws and Hydro One contaminated waste disposal process is an asset
Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor employees
  • Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills
  • Ability to operate, work around, and direct heavy duty equipment
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for an extended period of time
  • Ability to lift heavy material to approx. shoulder length
  • Majority of jobs withing GTA
  • Must be willing to travel to certain jobsites (accomodations provided, weekends off, paid travel)
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $30.00-$50.00 per hourBenefits:
