Job Description

Job Location: Greater Toronto AreaProvince: OntarioSynergy Telecom is currently looking for a bright and energetic individual to join our team.. Working with the field supervisor and lead hand, this position will provide basic labourer tasks for the horizontal drilling team including driving support vehicle (s) used to transport equipment/materials to various project sites.Opportunity for training as Horizontal Drill Operator, Locator or Hydro Vac Truck OperatorResponsibilities:

  • A valid, clean Ontario G class license (DZ/AZ and asset)
  • Good Attitude and Work Ethic
  • Must be able to work in a high paced working environment
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs
  • Perform different construction tasks using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and related construction tools
  • Assist in transporting loading, unloading materials and tools.
  • Set the installation of the road safety on site.
  • Communicate with co-workers for prep work and project coordination.
  • Report on work/milestones and delays to the Lead Hand.
  • Regularly perform Health & Safety inspection of equipment and tools
  • Follow equipment maintenance schedule and advise if repair is required.
  • Perform other tasks related to this function.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable Health and Safety training as per legislative and job requirements.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • English proficiency;
  • Valid drivers license;
  • Some previous experience in the field of construction/Telecommunications
  • Previous Field Experience an asset.
  • Ability to operate a backhoe or other construction equipment an asset
  • Book 7 knowledge and asset
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to perform the physical demands of the positions. These include but are not limited to working outdoors movement of equipment and/or materials, frequent lifting and pulling. All employees will be required to receive applicable health and safety training on an ongoing basis as per legislative and job requirements.
