Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced and dedicated Chief Procurement Officer to lead their procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in procurement practices, supply chain management, and strategic sourcing.   • Develop and implement advanced procurement strategies to enhance organizational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee the procurement department, managing the team and facilitating their professional development.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction through effective negotiation and strategic partnerships with suppliers.
  • Conduct thorough supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure successful and beneficial partnerships.
  • Implement performance metrics and KPIs to monitor procurement processes and outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and ethical procurement practices.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and innovations to continuously improve procurement functions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
  • Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks to ensure business continuity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master #39;s or Professional certification preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful procurement strategies that drive business results.
  • Strong background in supplier negotiation, relationship management, and contract development.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring procurement teams to achieve high performance.
  • Proficient in procurement systems and technological solutions.
  • Adept at analyzing data and making informed decisions based on market trends and insights.
